Trends, Insights, and Career Opportunities for 2025!
Looking back on my career in the ISO world, I can still feel the mix of excitement and nerves from my very first audit and classroom training. I was so petrified that I felt physically sick! Now, sharing this might not sound great, but I wanted to be brutally honest: anything new and different can be scary, and it often brings about physical responses.
I quickly learned that success isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about being flexible and adapting to change. It’s also about looking ahead at what’s coming and being the first to implement or embrace new technologies or ways of doing things.
That’s why I’m proud that Auditor Training Online (ATOL) was the first Exemplar Global Training Provider to launch fully online learning that met EG performance criteria back in 2012—way before anyone was forced to pivot during the pandemic.
With the rise of AI, we’ve also introduced an AI Sidekick within our training content to support our learners. Most recently, we upgraded our chatbot, now called Alto, to be fully AI-driven—don’t worry, you can still chat with a real person when you need to!
On a personal note, I’ve helped hundreds of ISO professionals navigate their career journeys, whether it’s becoming ISO consultants or landing new roles in the industry. This passion led me to launch my own ISO Career Strategist practice at JackieStapleton.com, making me the first career coach specializing in the ISO industry. I genuinely love helping others through their career transitions.
As we gear up for 2025 and beyond, my message is simple: embrace change and grab those opportunities when they come your way!

Emerging Technologies: The ISO certification process will increasingly embrace digital technologies, with remote audits and AI-driven evaluations becoming the standard. This transformation will enhance efficiency and accuracy in conformance and compliance assessments.
